Over 12 years ago, I started my first job at a law firm after graduating
from my Paralegal program. I always dreamt of sitting in a high rise in a
major city and working in the legal field, so when I was offered the job I
was thrilled. As the months went on, I sat at my desk in the exchange
tower in Toronto and looked out the window.
Was this still what I wanted?
I began daydreaming about what my life would look like if I chose
another path. I had only visited a few countries at this time but travel
was calling me more and more. One day, I decided that I wanted something
different. I will never forget the day I walked into the travel agency office -
bright red carpets lined the floors and world maps covered the walls on one
side, the other were shelves full of destinations across the globe. I heard the
buzz of the phone ringing and chatter about trips to Paris and Borneo. In
that moment, I knew that this is where I was supposed to be.
I knew as a Travel Agent, I would be able to travel but I didn’t realize how
much, what I would be lucky enough to experience or how many
opportunities I would have.

Hi - I’m Kayla!
I’ve spent the last 10 years building a career in travel, a journey that has
completely transformed my life. Before becoming a travel agent, I worked
in the legal field, but I always knew there was something more for me —
something that aligned with my true passions. So, I took a leap of faith,
left behind the comfort of the legal world, and decided to pursue my new
found dream of working in travel. In the early years, I went back and
forth between working for myself and taking on roles in other parts of
the travel industry to build my knowledge and skills.
However, just over two years ago, I made a pivotal decision to fully invest
in myself and my business. I took the plunge, quit working for someone
